Braces Are Just a Way for Orthodontists to Make Money
Sure, they make your teeth straight, but don’t you find it odd that almost everyone has to get the full set? I’m sure there’s something that the orthodontists aren’t telling us about that can make your teeth straight in a matter of weeks. Plus orthodontists don’t even work during appointments, they come in for one second and say “everything seems to be in order” and then they leave. And now they have all of society thinking that they need to spend a ridiculously large amount of money to make their babies’ teeth perfect.

I begged my mother to not waste money on braces; my teeth are not perfect, but they're not abysmal. I don't want my mouth to look like everyone else's if my parents have to shell out a couple thousand dollars on it.

Braces are required not to straighten your teeth(because you can do that with a pair of pliers) they are required to hold them straight while your connective tissues adjust to their new positions. Moving your teeth too fast can tear the tissues and prevent them from ever being straight.
