Dreams are Experiences From an Alternate Universe
Every time anyone makes a decision, a number of alternate universes are created where every other possible decision is made instead, and where events play out differently as a result. Normally, everyone in each universe is completely unaware of the existence of other universes, but at night, when people are asleep, they can receive a slight transfer of consciousness from their other-universe selves, and these transferred experiences are what we think of as dreams.

I've read that our brains have a quantum component to their operation. Therefor it would seem distantly plausible that our brains are connected in some way with the Multiverse (myriad of alternate timelines/dimensions besides this one), and that dreams are actual experiences of alternate realities. It could explain, among other things, why in dreams you sometimes find you have a whole set of memories of events that never happened in "real life," and why dreams are frequently unpredictable despite supposedly being created by your own brain.
I had a very profound experience earlier this year that has led me to believe there is some truth behind our minds containing an alternate universe. Last night, the experience helped me control what I believe to be the alternate universe I travel to in my dreams. The people I was interacting with in my dream were very vivid and the dream itself seemed to be a reality in itself. I kept moving in and out of consciousness from the real world (my bed) and the dream world. I was surprised when I could consciously re-enter my dream at will, and I was able to manipulate and control my dream universe quite well. I revealed my god-like essence to the people in my dream with logic and demonstrations. I remember starting my revelations by asking a woman a question about alternate reality. The question was a spin-off of a quote from a favorite philosopher of mine: "I think, therefore I am." I said to the woman, "I think therefore I am. I cannot 'know' that you 'really' think (I cannot see or hear your thoughts), therefore I cannot be sure that you 'really' exist." I followed up my statement by posing this question: "What if my mind is the only conscious entity in this (my) universe, and your mind is simply subconsciously partaking in my universe? Could your actions (the woman's actions) really be pre-determined to play a roll in my life? and could your actions be subconsciously controlled to do so (without her 'knowing')? I then demonstrated that I could control their actions without them realizing it, and finally I parted the clouds in the sky, proving my control over the "matter and energy" in the dream universe. The people in the dream went mad and freaked out at what they were seeing.

Now, to connect this "dream" experience with the "experience" I had in real life earlier this year:
On labor day my friends and I went to a local lake. We ate psilocybin mushrooms on the way and began to feel the effects when we go to the lake's beach. I have used mushrooms multiple times before, and each time I have had extremely profound experiences.
Now, my friends were taking in the beautiful sights: the clouds, the trees, the people, the water; but I started to feel a bit self-conscious and sat there on the beach with my eyes closed for the 4 hours that the experience lasted. Some VERY INTERESTING things happened in that 4 hours:
