Unsubstantiated Theories

A Hole Does Not Exist

A hole, technically, does not exist. A hole is the missing presence of something, therefore it is nothing. Yet this nothing has a name which makes it something. But if it has a name, it cannot be nothing. Then again, it is something which is not there. Does it exist or not? Mind-boggling.

Comments

  1. Just because it has a name doesn't mean it makes it something. There are many absences that have names. Darkness is the absence of light. Cold is the absence of heat.
