We Each See Our Own Colors
There is no way to describe a color. When we look at something, our brain fills in the lines with a color. I see white, while you see blue. But we were both raised to call it yellow. So think about this: everyone’s favorite color is the same.

Hey, sorry... But I'm calling BS. When light hits objects, some of the wavelengths are absorbed and some are reflected, depending on the materials in the object. The reflected wavelengths are what we perceive as the object's color.
I suspect the essay is merely suggesting that our brains may be interpreting the wavelengths differently, not that different wavelengths are reflected for different people.
Well, theoretically we can see if the same areas of the brain become engaged when people view certain colors. Though I'm not sure that neurology is advanced enough yet.
